영상속의 노모 오웬 로즈

2016년 4월13일 태국의 휴양지로 유명한 후아힌에서 발생한 사건입니다. 영국의 그래픽디자이너 오웬은 그의 부모님과함께 태국을 한달째 여행중이었고 태국의건달들을 만나 폭행을 당하였습니다. 그 결과 오웬은 의식불명이 되었고 몇일뒤 회복하였습니다. 그는 깨어나자마자 다시는 태국을 돌아오지 않겠다 말했다고 하는군요. 

 

경찰은 이후 범인을 체포하였습니다.

그들은 술에취한 영국가족일행이 자신들과 부딫히고 테이블로 밀려난것에대해 사과를 요구했지만 사과를 하지않아 홧김에 범행을 저질렀다고합니다. 

 

Three members of a British family were punched and kicked unconscious in a Thai tourist resort. The holidaymakers, including a woman, were left needing hospital treatment after the vicious attack by a gang in Hua Hin during celebrations for the Thai New Year, it is understood. Both men suffer blows to the face and body, and when the woman who was initially knocked flat out by a punch sits up, one attacker delivers a kick straight to her head. The three victims lay unconscious on the ground (Picture: IPC) The images show all three being beaten unconscious and left on the pavement, as a large crowd watches the unfolding scene of assault on the busy street. In the video a passer-by appears to come under attack from several men after trying to intervene to help. A contributor to the Hua Hin web forum said they had rushed to the help the family who they recognised from a nearby bar. The elderly gentleman was down on the floor and their son was beaten very badly! ‘At this point I caught up to the scene and pushed one of the youths away from the woman. I got severely punched and kicked for my troubles, but felt the need to protect this frail lady. ‘The three of them are still hospitalised and I will need cosmetic dental work done.’ According to the account, ‘gangs of Thai youths were priming themselves to start punching Westerners’ in the area before the attack. The Songkran New Year celebrations are also known as the Water Festival, when Thai families splash water on each other as part of a religious ritual of renewal. The British Embassy launched its Songkran Safe campaign ahead of the festivities and encouraged holidaymakers to take part while appreciating local customs and traditions. In the past tourists have been arrested for breaching decency laws by taking part without wearing T-shirts. A spokeswoman for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) said: ‘Our staff have been in contact with the family to offer assistance and will remain in contact with the local authorities.’ The FCO released no information on the condition of the three UK nationals following the attack.
